Birthdays, Halloween, etc

I celebrated an early birthday by finally going to a University of Hawaii home game. They played an awesome game and won in the last 2 minutes. I was raining like crazy and I had to drink my beer fast before it got watered down. Earlier that day Jake had a game and they had to call the game in the 3rd quarter because one of his team mates got injured. The poor kid broke his arm right in front of Jake. They were both going for the same tackle.

Halloween was busy here and Matthew was a monkey. It was the first time we trick or treated with him and he just kept staring at all the kids. He had a blast. Jake changed costumes 4 times and went up the street the same amount. He got lots of candy. I tried to redistribute some so we don't wind up with too much. We still have a lot though.

Jacob took his entrance test to Kamehameha Schools. It was a 3 1/2 hour test and he has an interview in 2 weeks. Plus I have to send in recommendations from coaches and teachers plus report cards and standarized testing scores. I still think his chances are slim. Over 2000 kids apply and they only accept a few.

I'll be crossing my fingers that Jake's lucky enough to get accepted. I'll also be a very proud auntie if he's accepted!
I'm glad he wasn't injured during the game!......and don't worry about your birthday. You have a toddler who keeps you young every day. Age is just a number, and as long as you're over 21 then that's all that counts, right?
